Nehemiah 13:22-24

²² And I said to the Levites that ^(A)they should cleanse themselves and come as gatekeepers to keep the sabbath day holy. For this also ^(B)remember me, O my God, and have compassion on me according to the greatness of Your lovingkindness.

You Shall Not Marry Foreigners

²³ In those days I also saw that the Jews had ^[a](C)married women from ^(D)Ashdod, ^(E)Ammon, and Moab. ²⁴ As for their children, half spoke in the language of Ashdod, and none of them was able to speak the language of Judah, but only ^[b]the tongue of his own people.
